Stikpin Fire, Kettle River Range
The 2015 Stickpin Fire was lightning caused and with hundreds of other blazes burning had very little resources for initial attack. Hence it grew to one of the largest wildfires in recent memory in the Kettle river Range reaching over 73,000 acres and burning across the summits of many of range's northern peaks.
