Hey all… Please keep in mind that Stony Mountain is private property regardless of access from the North or the South so please respect the land owners wishes to restrict some access. Right now there is active mining in the Governor Basin side so if you want to climb from the Yankee Boy side that’s fine but ensure you don't mess with the two mines just before the saddle. If access in the mines continues the peak will be closed for all of us. If you want to climb from the south side I would suggest asking permission prior to the drive. If you show up at the gate it will be most likely for not. If you would like to climb this peak from the south via Governor Basin please contact me prior to your trip so I can notify the individuals working in the area. Thank you
