Storm approaching Rozanski...

Storm approaching Rozanski...

Storm approaching Rozanski Kukovi with Vratarski Kuk (1676m) on the photo, which was taken on the runaway from summit towards Fabin Dolac and further to Rossijevo Skloniste refuge. It tells a lesson that you should never go in the wilderness without any gear, as me and my company did then. We set on 4h circle trip from refuge leaving everything there, jackets, warm clothes, rain coats... It was sunny day so we figured why carry all that. After two hours in the middle of nowhere we were praying that approaching blackness will somehow miss us. As thunders ripped the sky and hail bounced of the rocks we found shelter under dense spruce tree (not very smart but it was well below ridge so we thought what a hell). It all lasted about an hour leaving us wet to the bone. Strom turned warm day into cold, so freezing was on the menu till the refuge which was one hour away. On the mountain you never know what can happen, hoping for the best simply doesn’t help.
