Storm and nothing more
Dont think many people hike this peak just for this peak, especially with twin peaks being so close. However we did this hike in fall during the perfect time. The leaves were amazing would do it again during that time in a heart beat.

via Ferguson Canyon
fine way to spend the last day of Spring. did my share of branch-breaking up and down (getting overgrown with shrubs). 2 May 2021: again; this time used snowshoes for part of it. Also did it via west ridge (WMC hike).

Storm Mountain
6/30/2013 Climbed with the WMC via Ferguson Canyon. Traversed from Storm Mountain to Twin Peaks. As a group we had intended to continue on to do the Triple Traverse but fairly extreme heat slowed us down and wiped us out. I did the same route 5 days earlier and did in over two hours faster that day.
6/25/2013 Climbed via Ferguson Canyon and continued on to Twin Peaks. Descended Broads Fork. Awesome ridge between Storm and Twin.

West ridge via Ferguson Canyon
Fun hike, on a perfect autumn day for it, with a crack'o'noon start. Ferguson Canyon is really nice and the scrambling on the west ridge was pretty good.
Did this one twice in the same month, storm rolled in second time, not a good place to be.

06/12/06 Jan lead Kim and I and our dogs up this one. Neo was reluctant in some spots on the scramble but finally figured it out.

Geocaching
12/9/2006 Made it to the summit armed with a shovel, but didn't find geocache.
1/3/2007 Again made it to the summit. This time with a shovel and small crowbar, but still didn't find geocache.
6/12/2007 Made it to snow free summit with lesdubois and he chanced upon the geocache nowhere near where it should have been.

Via Ferguson Canyon and sometimes the west ridge
#1 Fall of 2007 W/ Brent, Kim & Lana. Snow at increasing depths above 7,000'. The fall colors in the canyon contrasted with the fresh snow and the effect was magnificent. Fun scrambling for the final 200' yards of the ascent. A wonderful way to gain 4,300' in the Wasatch and enjoy the beauty of autumn. #2 9-1-09 with Brent & Dave. Via the west ridge. Went on to climb Ferguson Peak. #3 9-18-10 W/ JP Lewis & Brooke. Approach from the "saddle" and follow up to FerguUson Peak. Fall colors showing off but still in early stages. #4 2-15-11 W/ Dave via a snowy west ridge. Then to Ferguson in snowshoes. About 6 hrs to Ferguson but only 2+15 down to TH. #5 6-26-12. Solo. Via West Ridge in 40-50mph winds. 2+40 up, one hour to Ferguson Peak and call off the trek to BF Twin Peaks because of continued high winds. They were scaring me... #6 10-4-12 W/ Anne. 3+00 up, 2+05 down. Fall colors fading fast but still gorgeous. #7 9-2-14 W/ Brent. Fall colors beginning. Via west ridge. 2+57 up. IVD #8 4-21-15 Via west ridge. Saw a shaggy mountain goat up close before he lost interest in us. #9 08-21-24 Solo. 4+22 up with dicey scrambling up the "west ridge." Lana's in Canada on her girlfriend trip. Peak #74 in the 80in80 project.

Ferguson
Came all the way from the valley, although it is mostly trail there is some nice ridge scrambling on the top, kept going to the pinnacle to the north of Broads Fork Twin which is easily seen from the valley. Could be its own peak? I don't know it is fairly prominent though and really fun to get to after getting out of the upper Ferguson Meadow. Great views of the upper deaf smith basin as well. Wonderful exposure. Lot's of loose rock on the ridge though.
