Storm Peak from its east ridge

View of Storm Peak from its east ridge at the point where things start to get really interesting. Serious exposure and terribly loose rock make the remainder of the climb scary and dangerous. We ascended a minor arete on the steep face. Thankfully we weren't forced to down climb it. We descended west from the summit and found loose 3rd class terrain that led us back to the east ridge. Part of that route can be seen on the lower right, directly below the cliffs. San Juan Mountains, Colorado. August 2008.
