Tricky
Rather than hike back down the Long Trail my wife and I took tis tricky path down to the base and then ran down the gondolier run. Much easier on the knees.

Hike in the rain
Even through the clouds and rain, it was still a fun hike. Hiked up the ski hill following the gondola and connected to the Cliff Trail from there. Wrote a trip report on it that can be read here: http://www.peakfever.com/hike-info-16.php

Came Down
I have been down this trail twice after taking the Long Trail to the top of the mountain. It was always a lot of fun scrambling down as fast as I could go.
