Straight down

I've marked where my truck is in this pic but you'll need to go to highest resolution to see it. The route we took goes from where the truck is parked, up a steep jeep road to a saddle and then up the ridge to the left, following mountain sheep trails to the main ridgeline below. Then you aim for the summit where we are (gps works nicely) and make your way up. It is 1700 feet down to my truck and my gps said we were 0.36 miles as the crow flies. Actual mileage hiked was 1.3 miles but other than that jeep road, most of it was pretty steep hiking (but nothing technical). Mostly class 2 with a easy class three spot or two. 8-18-09
