Great, BazZ ...That looks to be a fine example of an igneous
sill, or a body of rock that CUTS along the
bedding planes of the rock it 'intrudes.'
It's caused by hydrocarbons and gases trapped
in ancient rock layers. It's often associated
with 'fossil-bearing material.' AWESOME!!

This does not look like it was done by a
glacier. It resembles an igneous intrution of
some sort. Were there fossils in the area??
