Suicide Chute

Suicide Chute

General line of the Suicide Chute route on the east face of Mount Superior. The chute tops out on the south ridge of the peak, approximately 1/2 of the way (vertically) from the summit. From the top of the chute the south ridge route can be followed to the summit. June 3, 2006

not much snow left on the south facing slopes

do you ever ski this stuff or do you only climb? Suicide and Homicide are two "classics". It'd be hard to pass up the turns...

Re: not much snow left on the south facing slopes

I used to resort ski a lot during college, but grew tired of the crowds and $$, so now I just climb these things. I've grown accustomed to the remarks from skiers as I boot or snowshoe down from prime ski terrain.

I did get a telemark setup for Christmas last year though. I've been out on them several times, but I still currently hold the title of world's worst telemark skier.
