Summit mist

Joe, Grizz, Bard, and Mike up on the top of Lone peak, with Christine starting to descend just behind the "crawlspace" crux of the route, the East-facing overhang of a rock (Compare with this shot from the previous year for the persepective on the crux spots)

Hey,

this is a great shot. The play of the lighting with the fog (haze) and the climbers just barely discernible make for a sweet composition. Too bad not very many saw this one. : (

3D Depth

Thanks Dean,

The fog sometimes brings amazing sense of depth into the mountain views. That's why I liked this shot - even though there are two or three close-up photos of the summit block on SP already, they look very flat, almost perspective-less.

Also, the ridge curves to the right there. Therefore, to capture both sides of the summit block, one needs to drop off to the East a bit, over some iffy terrain. Few photographers do it.
