I was waiting for aphotograph like this to come along, and blow
my red sandstone towers all to hell.
Seems like that crevasse could become hidden
very easily, and I'm glad you folks were
aware of it. Outstanding pic!!!

Re: I was waiting for aThe crevasse is very well known, since it is so close to the summit. Every year, the big question is whether people will have to do overhanging ice climbing 6300m high or not :)

BrilliantMan that is a superb shot. I was in the Blanca around the same time as you. Was supposed to Chopicalqui and Pisco. I got a bad cold and a stomach bug. Did the Santa Cruz trek and Pisco (June 14), but no Chopi.

Awesome!Professional photographers are often looking for those amazing shots, those that they call "trophy" shots. Shots that are perfect in every sense and really grab the viewer! I would call this one a "Trophy" shot!! Nice work, and thanks for sharing.
