Non the SummitThis is not the summit of Mt. Gibbes, but the false summit on the Boundary Trail to the north with survey stake/boundary marker.
True summit has no rock cairn, actual NC Geodetic Benchmark "Gibbes" in rock, and beyond a few fet to the south, another smaller benchmark raised from the ground on a metal stake with boundary signs right behind it. The ridgeline is also much narrower.
The true summit of Mt. Gibbes would need to be visited to qualify for SB6000.
