summit shots - 38 years apart

The top photo was taken in 1973 by my dad - I'm the 11-year old wearing the baseball cap and the red sweater. We summitted via the Mt. Whitney Trail. The lower photo was taken by SP member "Holsti97" on August 10th, 2011 - I'm 49 years old and we summitted via the Mountaineers Route.

Thanks Marmaduke! I used to have a motto when it comes to climbing/hiking peaks, "Life is too short for repeats!" I have since backed off that philosophy because going with new people is a whole new enriching experience and adds to one's history of memories.
