Peak ID...

...this is confusing to me, Bob. Is that Mount Logan in sunlight on the right? I guess that would make the big mountain at left Citadel Mountain. I'm not sure about the rounded peak in shadow at far right, either—maybe Almost-a-Dog? Nice, unusual perspective with nice light, but I'm pretty lost on this. Any ideas?

Re: Peak ID...

This was the only time I have seen this view, Vernon, so I'm no expert on this look at the peaks, but I'm almost certain this is the correct lineup:

The peak on the left is not Citadel but Little Chief. Compare the left side of the peak to the right side in this view, and I think you'll see the similarities. The sharp peak along the ridgeline to its right is the subpeak just south of Little Chief's actual summit area.

The ridge in front of Little Chief is the southern ridge of Citadel; of that I'm certain because of another picture I have from the same place and time (not on SP, but maybe I can add it, though I'd have to go get the negative developed first) that is definitely of Citadel. That would make the peak on the right Almost-a-Dog, which makes sense since if you find my location on a map and study the view, you'll see that Almost-a-Dog is "between" Citadel and Little Chief distance-wise. That rounded peak at far right? I have no idea, though I wonder if it is Kakitos; the distance and position relative to the scene and my position suggest that might be so.
