Re: It isHmm, why so secret? Whatever the case, the rock looks of good quality.

It is- It isHi sorry for being evasive...but on request of the"Gate Keeper" we need to keep it hush hush for now...next year it'll be public and a guide/topo will be available.
SP's own Dave Daly has made a few forays with us and he's sworn to secrecy too ;)

Re: It is- It isI understand the need for keeping it secret. In the meantime, I would enjoy helping out as a belay slave if ever needed. It would be a pleasure to climb such fresh rock.

Re: Season Is HereI'm looking forward to climbing those routes! Perhaps you could just let me know where this new climbing area is right before making it public...it would be nice to be able to climb there while it is so pristine.

Re: You BetEven if and when it quietly goes public (to some degree), heaven forbid this area NOT stay pristine. As DD may have mentioned, Shuteye has so many fine crags riddled across many miles, and this is just one humble addition.

Re: You BetBummer it's going semi public. I took 5 or 6 trips up there abouts last year and have worked hard to get the info I have....Headed back next week for 7 days!
Speaking of info does anyone have the old soyo topos any where I'd love to get them
(given how I've learned to trust spencers guide....)

Re: You BetJust wait until our test piece 'Three Amigos' (5.10++) is finished! Can't wait to link that smallish dike up with the crack above!! I'm sure this "place" will be a fine addition to the SoYo area climbs.
