SW Ridge - Steep Dirt Step
Martin, at the first crux section of the southwest ridge route for Silvertip Mountain (BC).
This has been appropriately nicknamed the "steep dirt slope" (and it is much steeper than it appears in this photo). This is the most used slope to gain the otherwise-cliffy southwest ridge. However, a slip on this slope could have disasterous consequences for those involved.
