Climbed 1.5 times  Sucess!

Climbed this route 1.5 times. First time in full on a chilly September day (2016 would be my guess), and the second time after we had bailed off Spear me the Deets, climbed into Syckes Sickle. It's a cool route.

Sykes Sickle, 5.10-, III  Sucess!

With Kenton from CO. We climbed Sykes Sickle and the Barb in two days. Had a great bivy near the shores of Frozen Lake, directly in the path of the walk off descent. Not a soul in site anywhere on or close to the Spearhead when we climbed the Barb, two parties the day before were on the wall. Pays to climb midweek in September for sure. These are both popular alpine climbs and for good reason. Great area and fun rock. Neither route was overly sustained, kind of typical of RMNP climbs. Both short cruxes were full on however. They Sickle's crux pitch is easier to climb as a chimney than any other method. The real crux is laybacking the finger flake to get into position. There are pitons protecting that portion of the climb as of this date.
