From Richmand Basin
Took longer than thought. Nice day but was under impressed.

Traverse: Richmond to Black Bear
Up to Richmond Pass from 550: T8, T7, Telluride, Trico and down via Black Bear to 550. Nice traverse. Three tricky bits: 1. towers on ridge between Richmond Pass and T8 - bypass to N; 2. towers near T8-T7 col - bypass N by dropping into Imogene Basin; 3. N ridge of Trico - steep, loose but never worse than 2+
T7 and T8 from just below Imogene Pass with Steve Knapp, we also did Chicago and Tomboy from the pass that morning. Combining T7 and T8 works okay if you drop off T7 to the NW and contour low enough to get on grassy slopes, then there is a grassy slope that goes almost back to the ridge crest. Not much scree if you connect them this way.

nice october day
I explored initially T 7 and T 8 traverse, but had a late start, drove to the trailhead after work, got there after 3 PM. Came from Imogene Road and ascended scree below T 8 and was crossing to the saddle between T 8 and T 7, lots of loose scree. It got dark, so descended back to the road and reached car parked at Lower Camp Bird in a total darkness.
Came back and decided to hike up Richmond Pass Trail from Ironton (2nd time on this part) and access T 8 from this side, which appeared more promising in regards of scree avoidance. Definitively the easiest route up avoiding scree is from Richmond Pass.
I went up Hayden Mountain South (2nd time) to get a nice overview of the route and
then descended back to Richmond Pass and cross over to T 8. Lovely day. Little windy. No soul up there.
