No doubt fires are forbidden in Cederberg. However, not sure if that goes for all mountain areas in SA. They are certainly forbidden in all 9 Wilderness Areas, sections of Cederberg being one of these.
Some sections of Cederberg are on private land, and the landowners permission might be useful. Wilderness Area - Private Land are well marked on the 1:50,000 topo map.
