Jan 2003?Are you sure this photo was taken Jan 2003? What happened to all the snow?! There was a tremendous dump of snow just before Xmas 2002. ??????

Re: Jan 2003? Hi Deb, yeah this shot was taken in Jan 2003 there was snow up around the peak and higher up towards skunk cabbage meadow and the pct. The pic was taken from the south ridge trail. Look at the pics section of the Tahquitz peak page, the first pics I posted are from the hike I took that Jan. I guess it snowed around x-mas that year and then had a break in between, there was snow up there but you couldnt really see it from far away anyway I like your pics of Tahquitz Peak it looks like it got a lot of snow this year. I dont live out there any more so I appreciate your pics. I was out there in Dec (this past one) and hiked up Baden-Powell and there wasnt much snow at all, 2 days later it got dumped on and I guess ya ll had a good snow year. Take care and I envy you for being so close to some excellent mountains! Keep taking the good pics of Tahquitz Peak and at least I can have some semi current photos. Thanks Deb.
