Don't see much of this part of the mountains these days with all this fly-in fly-out to the Grand Plateau. What was the access to the base of the ridge like with the glacier slump?

You might be interested in this shot of the old timers carrying the materials for the hut up the ridge.

Thanks for the link. Please explain the glacier slump as this shot was taken in 1984. All I remember were the big packs and the slow going on the Tasman gacier.
