The Berchtesgaden Alps in winter

Seen from the Salzburger Hochthron, 1853m, one of the two principle summits of the Untersberg massif. From left to right: The Göll (2524m), the Hochkönig (2941m), the Steinernes Meer, the Schönfeldspitze (2653m), the Watzmann (2713m; if you look really closely, you can see just to the left of the main peak of the Watzmann the summit of Wiesbachhorn (3564m) lurking from behind), the Berchtesgadener Hochthron (1972m), the Hochkalter (2607m) and the Leoganger Steinberge. The Königsee lake is covered in mist. Enlarge for more detail!

Re: Great view!

Thanks - it's nice to hear from you again, Vid!! The Untersberg is the mountain I see every morning out my window when I wake up! And it's a mountain well worth visiting!

All the best to you,

Eric

Best overview

Congratulations for this top overview from a mountain which I also see every morning when coming into my kitchen (near the S-Bahnhof Parsch). My wife is a pianist and for me playing the piano is a great hobby too. Years ago I wrote a message to Vid Pogacnik to visit us in Salzburg. I'll do it again an don't hope it would be too late now.

Eric
