Thank you, Tomek! It is!!! Have you ever been there? It is in the corner, where Poland's, Czechia's and Germany's frontiers meet.
BTW, High Tatra is also a region I wish to see since a long time. My mother has been there as a young girl and is still raving about it... :-)
Was für ein Ort! Das möchte ich auch mal sehen!!
Danke! Würde ich Dir auch gerne zeigen... :-)
No wonder that this place inspired so many romantic painters like Caspar David Friedrich. If you click on the link to Wikipedia below the photo, you can see a few paintings.
Thank you very much for your nice comment, Roberto!
natural rock formations down to the right?
Yes, they are. This is a sandstone massif, and on the top are the ruins of a medieval castle and of an abbey. In the album "Lusatian & Zittau mountains" you can find a picture with a natural sandstone wall which was smoothened in order to make it more difficult for enemies to get up there. Soon I will post some more pictures of the Oybin.
I'm now waiting impatiently to visit this region !
Yes, you should! :-) Enjoy! If you need some more infos, write me on FB...
