The " cathedral " of the Asselstein ...

ASSELSTEIN : this is certainly, one of the most famous and popular climbing sandstone-rocks, in all the Palatinate sector, in Germany ... With a total height of exactly 58 meters, the Asselstein is one of the biggest and the highest rocks, known by the experimented climbers ! Those climbers will find here, almost hundred climbing roads, with difficulty and technicity levels, standing between 2 and 9+ (the 10th level was recently attempt, but I don't know where this climbing road is exactly situated, on the Asselstein rock ... sorry ! ). The site, as seen from his base, is extraordinary big and high, wild : do you think really, that this rock can be climbed in his total height ? If yes, no problem ! But, if no, so you have to look very good with your own eyes : there are too much metallic rings on the walls, for securing and assuring the climb ! So, if you have, only one time in your life, the possibility of coming here for hiking and climbing, come here fastly as you can and don't be worry or afraid : you will be too much served and you will never forget your rise in the Palatinate ...
