I see that your climbing experiences (which are very accomplished!) are mainly in S America. I'm sorry to make movie/pop culture references, but I can find no trip reports or descriptions on Summitpost regarding Siula Grande, the mountain climbed by the two men from "Touching the Void". Does no one climb it?
I don't know if somebody from SP has climbed Siula Grande before. From what I know Siula Grande's West Face has been climbed a couple times since Joe Simpson and Simon Yates climbed it back in 1985.
It was climbed again in 1999 by Carlos Buhler and in 2001 by Roger Van Rijn and Eva Oomen.
