the crux
The crux on the normal route to the summit of Hochkalter via Schöner Fleck. It is rated UIAA II, good holds, not exposed and can be done without protection. However it can be very slippery if the rocks are wet. There are 2 pitons and a ring for abseil if the conditions are poor. - june 2011
