The front side of the Glasfels.

The front side of the Glasfels.

Have a very attentive look on this new picture, about the Glasfels ... This one is showing you, the general view of the rock from his base ... Here is the front side of the Schlemmerturm only visible ... The second tower, the biggest Neyturm, is situated behind the first Schlemmer ! This second and taller climbing-tower, isn't visible on this picture. On this wall (south part), you can see, if you've got very good eyes, several metallic rings, used for climbing the vertical wall ! On the Glasfels, you can find climbing-routes, with difficulty-degrees situated between II and IX (2 => 9 ! ). But, warning, because the Glasfels can be the site of peregrine falcon breedings ... Between february and july, this rock can also be closed and unauthorized to the hikers and to the climbers ! In the last year of 2006, there was one nest of peregrine falcon, localised in the over part of the southern wall of the big Ney's ! Caution to not disturb and catch those very beautiful and impressive wild-birds ... The peregrine falcon is severely protected into the all Palatinate-sector ! But, it's always very dreamy and spectacular, when we can see a peregrine flying very highly and kingly into the airs ! The silhouette of his body is very caracterial, special ! You will have any difficulties, for reknowing this very legendar wild-bird !
