You may be thinking of Digital Face (.11b......11d if you sit start it!)

How would I know, Dave? I never climbed at that level!
Hummm, yeah, it was rated 5.11d in the 1984 guide. At the time few people attempted it and calling a climb 5.12 in 1984 would have invited criticism.

While I can't climb it these days, what i remember is a pretty solid .12a move at the crux. Maybe two.

Digital Face is a tough one. .11b... Maybe if you're on the short side. I never found it to be .11b dynoing the start, and after you stick the dyno and get your feet up, it's maybe .10a from there. I'd definitely say the sit start is harder than .11d though.
