Cool picture

I have been meaning to make it out here, so many mountains around here... Does the trail pass near that obsidian flow?

Re: Cool picture

There ia a one mile interpretive trail that does a circle within the flow. It is cool. There are large boulders of black shiny obsidian in piles all through the flow.

Smaller flow

There is a smaller flow between Paulina Lake and East Lake. This one you can scramble over, but be careful, it is obsidian and the edges can be very sharp. See upper right of this pic.

Re: Smaller flow

Hi keema, I see it! There is more to explore in Paulina crater for sure. I hope to make my next visit a winter one.
