The Greek Catholic Parish Church of St. Cosmas and St. Damian in Męcina Wielka

The Greek Catholic Parish Church of St. Cosmas and St. Damian in Męcina Wielka (currently a Roman Catholic Parish Church) was built in 1807. The church was erected using log construction with shingled walls. The church interior is covered by flat ceilings and decorated with architectonic, ornamental and figurative polychrome from 1930 and 1938. The fittings consist of a complete C 19h iconostasis (screen with icons) and two C 19th side altars in the baroque tradition. The walls contain many other icons, e.g. an C 18th fragment of a row of prazdniki (feasts) and an icon of St. Andrew. The Low Beskid - Męcina Wielka – Oktober 12, 2014.
