congrats!

A fine ascent, b! I don't imagine you were fighting too big a crowd up there.

Re: congrats!

I've never seen another person (other than my partners) in Leigh Canyon until this trip. There was a couple camped about a quarter mile up from the lake.

Re: Question

We did four pitches of rock, but depends on the snow, especially where you exit the rocks. We could have done one less, but that snow looked suspect. I wasn't going to do a route or peak page, but gato is working on a Thor Peak page. The rock was 5.6 - 5.7, kind of wet and slabby. If you head out there, pm me for more info. The approach will weed out the weak, but I still didn't want to put too much out there on this one.

Cheers to your trip report

I work in Jackson and look at the Tetons every day. I love hearing stories about the obscure peaks and routes, and yours is a great example. Have you ever done any hikes on the north-west slope of the Tetons? There are some rock routes that hardly ever get touched, and very few people. I have only looked down Leigh canyon from the western peaks, and it looks very wild. Sounds like quite the adventure.

Re: Cheers to your trip report

Not yet, but looking down into Moran Canyon and up towards Cleaver Peak and Maidenform made me want to get out and taste some of that area. Thanks for the comments!

Mosquitos

I still think you should have harnessed some of them 'skeeters and had them fly you to the top of that couloir.
