The Historic "Mail Trail"

Backpacking across the naked slickrock of the "Mail Trail" between The Towns of Escalante and Boulder, Utah. Into the 1930's, the small, isolated community of Boulder was one of the last post offices in the United States to recieve it's mail by mule train. The "Mail Trail" crosses Death Hollow by way of a steep and precipitous route. Occasionally a mule would fall from the trail, thus the canyon gained the name, "Death Hollow."
