The Lone Star Geyser

The Lone Star Geyser

A 2 mile (one way) mountain bike ride through the woods and along side a river brought me to the beautiful Lone Star Geyser. Erupting ever 3 hours, this 12 foot high cone sprays water 45 feet into the air. For anyone looking for the "off beat" sections of Yellowstone National Park, be sure to check this one out. Re: Another

It was quite the sight however I paid for my sins.....later on that day I missed every geyser in the old faithful area by minutes. Considering I have been going to Yellowstone for 14 years and had never checked out Lone Star Geyser I would say it was a fair trade. Happy Trails out there.
