Cool

I know what you mean by it being horrible breaking trail up West Snowmass Creek. We did this in March 2006, all in deep virgin snow.

The rest of the group was tired and wanted to go back the next day, but my reasoning was that it we were all tired, but we went to all this work to break trail and it wasn't going to be any easier attempting the mountain later. It was disappointing that I was outvoted and we turned back! We also failed the year before due to very high avalanche danger and a huge fracture line below K2.

Great trip report and I enjoyed reading it and looking at the photos. Congrats on a successful trip!

Re: Cool

That approach is a little painful for sure. I wish you success on your next time!

Excellent!

Awesome report, Noah. I loved reading this. Your pictures are stellar and brought back some good memories. If anything can be learned or attained for all the hard work you've put in to make this this climb happen, is that there is absolutely no substitute for persistence.
I know you've had your eye on this climb for a long time and to see it realized has to be the best feeling in the world. More so than your Canadian ventures even!

Congrats on a terrific climb, buddy! I can so hear Abe saying, "Are you alright?" Too bad that James wasn't there with you guys.

Re: Excellent!

Thanks buddy! Thanks for the help and encouragement along the way as well. I was sort of bonking on the summit. Should have drank more often and maybe sleep would have helped! Let's get out soon man!

Perseverance

Great read! Perseverance pays off and you showed that. The pics were great as they showed your progress during the TR. Keep it up.
