The Maw, 5.10+
A great week with Casey, Danny and company. Casey and I climbed the Maw, and later in the week I climbed Play on Credit and Dirtbagger's Compensation with another partner. I led the 3rd pitch crux OW. Found it better than I was expecting, never really had to give up a solid left side in chicken wing and heal toe which typically for me is not 5.10+ OW. A pair of #5's protected that pitch well. If I climbed it again, would not even take a #6. The 4th pitch is more benign than it looks. A Yosemite Giant is the best way to protect the full body traverse of the roof. The entry and exit are fairly mild. This is a fun ride at RR, must due for wide aficionados.
