The North-East part of the Altschlossfels Massiv ...

This photo illustrates the north-east part of the giant Altschlossfels. In reality, the Altschlossfels is composed of two differents parts : the northern part contains the five alonest sandstone-towers (climbing), and the southern part countains the two main massivs (the sandstone-walls are reaching here a total height of ~ 35 meters ! ). If you have an excellent view with your own eyes, you can see on the bases of the trees, marks or symbols, which are used to follow the right way or path for going to the long and to the summit of the rocky formation. What I can say, is that, the Altschlossfels is very brillantly valorised, free of access for the largest hiking-publics (youngs, middelages and oldages are welcome here) ! The marked paths are excellently praticable and " walkable " ! The yellow moosses on the northern cliffs are a specificity of this rock ! The right scientific name of these moosses is : " chrysothrix chlorina " ! This expression has a latine origine ... Good to know !!!
