Abandoned now and sadly but predictably marred by graffiti, the old fire lookout marks the approximate halfway point of the short but steep north ridge route. It is just a short distance from where the climber's trail from the parking area gains the ridge and makes a good rest stop. Windows are gone and the roof is not intact, but the lookout would make a better shelter than none in a bad storm.
There is even a register inside!
