The outcrop on the right...

The outcrop on the right forms a hogback ridge to the summit. Its very rugged and difficult to negotiate so stay to the left. From below, these whitebark pine really stand out because they are larger and fuller than any others on this side of the mountain. Aim for them to keep on route. September 2005
