The outline of Corsica as seen from Genova

The outline of the upper sector of the mountains in the northern Corsica, culminating in Monte Cinto, can be seen above the Tirrenian sea in clear evenings from the far Ligurian coast; in this case from Forte Santa Tecla, placed on a hill inside the city of Genova.

Is that photo

taken with a long focus lens? I don't remember seeing Corsica from the motorway close to Genova.

Re: Is that photo

Hi, Ejnar!
I took the photo with a Panasonic Lumix TZ70, with the zoom setted at the focal length of 250mm equiv. (in addition to other shots, up to a focal length of 600mm)
Forte di Santa Tecla is on a hill at about 160m osl, whereas at the sea level a smaller portion of the Corsican mountains is very seldom visible, about exclusively in the morning or evening of clear winter days.
