The parking lot for the...
The parking lot for the Appalachian trail is across the road from the trailhead. This pasture is behind a gate, and is the start of the Mt. Rogers trailhead, via the Appalachian trail. The sign says that Mt. Rogers is 4.5 miles away. That felt about right. Photo taken by Daniel Fleischmann, January 2002.
