The Ptarmigan Traverse was great, although I think next time I'd do it on skis and just turn around and head back to Cascade Pass after Dome rather than fight through the brush and hike the long road. I'm actually going to be in Austria this June and July and hoping to explore the mountains a bit!
Inspiring. I'm going climbing with a couple friend at the end of may. We thought of going to Pitztal, if we go there we will certainly give this classic a try.
