The Place Without A Name

The Place Without A Name

Please bear with me - I'm still gathering information on this one. This is the "Cottonwood Basin" area of central Arizona, between Wingfield Mesa and Hackberry Mountain (volcano). It was taken at approximately 3,200 feet in elevation, on the east side of the Verde River. These spectacular rock formations looked like they belonged somewhere else. Like on another planet, for example! October 21, 2008

Great Soft Tuff

Isn't this the best illustration of the bizarre suspected tuff land?
