Thanks - The view is astounding for the area, low river valley to the west, and the three other compass points are all large climbing walls/ areas as evident by the picture of the thumb? Have you climbed this area?

I climbed the right side of the Shield in the 1970s (don't know the route, we just climbed the ramp, roped up and went, see here), and the Needle in 1994. I used to run the La Luz Trail to the top three or four days a week. Oh, yeah, and we climbed the Knife's Edge.

Wow - La luz trail 3-4 times weekly, you are a rock star. Great picture, haven't seen to many on the shield.
