The "Sleeping Witch" above Bischofswiesen

This remarkably shaped mountain in the Berchtesgaden area presents all the features of what most people would imagine to be a witch like out of the fairy-tales lying on her back - the forehead, the tilted nose, the stiff lower lip, the neck, and, as the guides on the Königssee boats will never fail to say when pointing out this formation to the public: "and...so...on!..." Best viewed when opened to full size!
