The slopes above and directly...
The slopes above and directly west of St. Mary's Lake are a great area for Bristlecone Pine trees. These gnarly trees are hundreds of years old, and well worth a short side trip on your James Peak climb. I took this photo in July 2003. Mt Evans in the distance.
