The slopes above Podkilavac

From Podkilavac village you hike up towards Hahlici hut by an open slope, today unfortunately degradated by a mountain road. One could never expect that in October the whole hill above Podkilavac is covered by Cotinus coggygria, in Slovenian language we name it 'ruj'. A true feast of autumn colours! October 11th, 2008.

Bloody bush

Velebit is full of Rujevina (Croatian name), its autumn colors are stunning!

Is bloody bust the real English word for 'ruj' ('rujevina')?
