High water Flow, had to turn back
It was low 50's when we made our trip, and the waterflow level was extremely high. The narrows were closed all week because of it. Got to the entrance before trying to climb around the first pothole before falling in and freezing my nuts off. Excited to do it in august when I won't get hypothermia and actually be able to go up it.
Lots of fun- very cold in the water! Beautiful canyon. My wife and I did this with good friends from St. George.

Bottoms Up
Took the Left Fork TH bottom-up route. Didn't expect such a slog to the mouth of the canyon, but arrived none the less. Hiked up into the canyon to the waterfall and then turned around. Would love to see the rest of the canyon some day, but may save that for a tradition top-down trip!
Top to bottom in flood stage levels with my dad. I was 28 and he was 53 and green. What a way to break into the sport, eh? We flirted with danger a bit, but missed all the beauty of summer.
Got hung up with a novice group of 10 who would not allow us by. Just about got hypothermic waiting. Beautiful canyon tho.

Standard route top down
Hiked down via standard hiking route. No rappels. only couple hand line for 10-15 ft down.
Didn't use wetsuites. Its doable, but cold and chattering in the canyon section.
The middele canyon section is very beautiful. One of the best canyon to hike.

Subway
2005 August 07: Standard route through the Subway.
2005 September 17: Ascended the upper part of the canyon after summiting South Guardian Angel.
2009 June 05: Das Boot entrance. Everything was fine inside my dry suit, but my feet were actually numb from the cold water in the Das Boot section, even though it was June. No harm done, but rather interesting. Once in the Subway, the water is bearable without a suit, but I left mine on since I was already wearing it and we had below-normal temps on 05 June 2009. Of course the suit came off before the hideous slog to the Left Fork trailhead. It's amazing how much that stupid trail along the creek goes up and down, just to keep the tourons from getting their feet wet.
2010 June 13: Standard route through the Subway.

Beautiful canyon
Yes, it's definitely cold down there in April, but it was very fun and incredibly beautiful none-the-less. After I got down to the bottom of the canyon, I met and had a lovely hike out Bo and another man from Australia. Fun day!

Das Boot
3 of us made it through Das Boot/Subway. The deep water is quite cold in the narrow sections but I was expecting a more challenging canyon due to the 4BIV ACA rating. The extension is very short and adds only a couple straight forward rappels. It was a fun trip and the Subway is amazing. The formations are unbelievable.

The subway of dreams
we have a tradition of doing slot canyon trip every year because of the beauty that this canyon holds.
Been several times to the Subway. Once with a scout group as a kid, and the last with a group of work friends a few years ago. A+ place.

Finally!
Part of the Physical Disabilities expedition sponsored by CP.
The fun part was beautiful but too short for the slog out! Thank God we had 90F temps and direct sunlight for the last climb back to North Fork.

Missed the Subway
Hiked in from the bottom with my son on a day when the snowmelt had quickened the left fork's flow. The bouldery scrambling up and around the various falls was everything my 11 year old could want. But after 4 miles, at the entrance of the Subway, my son slipped and fell into the very slippery cascades and hurt his knee. Thanks to fellow hikers Chris and Riley Williamson for helping my son warm up (lending their down coat). I turned and walked out with him (his knee recovering thank goodness). It was hard having come so close to the end - but I will be back I hope! It is truly one of the great hikes of the Southwest.

AwesomeQuite possibly the most scenic while exhilarating hike out there, especially when coupled with Russel Gulch raps. Beautiful canyon, fun scrambling.
