Height Finder

Though it may look like a lookout tower, what you see is an old height finder tower. When the base was in operation there was a device that looked a lot like a giant "rocking chair" mounted atop this tower. It even rocked up and down, it was used to track the height of incoming aircraft and in a worse case scenario...missles.
