The summit of Gasherbrum I...

The summit of Gasherbrum I seen from 6500m on Gasherbrum II/III. The normal route starts from the lower left side of the photo in the small couloir leading to the snow field. From there you head on snow towards the summit.

That does not exactly look easy

Seems to be one of the harder 8000ers.

Yes, it's included in the "upper 7" on the list of 8000ers. I had a look at the peak from a good vantage point and there are for sure some technical parts.

I was also up a short bit on the Yugoslavian route. Close to C2. It's a very easy beginning of that route, but then it gets severly technical.

GI both looks and is hard. One of the tougher of the high ones.
