Thunderstanding  Sucess!

A steep trail with colorful, descriptive names for its various sections: "THE BUMPS, THE BIG SCHUSS, THE NEEDLE'S EYE, THE STEPS, THE BIG BEND."

Quite Steep  Sucess!

Did this trail with a friend and finished just as the sun had set. Luckily, we had stashed a car at the top. No views could be seen. But the trail was a good, steep climb.

GreyLock from Almost every Angle  Sucess!

I've been up Greylock from just about every direction. Most recently in August. For beginning Hikers who want a challenge hit up the steep, albeit short, Thunderbolt Trail. Also the AT heading Southbound from North Adams has a good pitch to it and more distance than Thunderbolt. The AT Northbound from Cheshire is a good moderate hike with a bit more distance! Greylock is a great mountain to hike up if you live close and have a little time to kill but do not want to spend the whole day on the trail. Also, good for those not in superb physical shape! Much like the shape i was in when i started out!
